The Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC) is proud to announce that the MILKingredients.ca Web site was recognized again this year by the Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation (CFWF) as the top Agricultural Web site in Canada. The CDC was awarded the Gold Award in the World Wide Web category (the Henry Heald Award). This award is given to the best Canadian-produced Web site with the majority of its content devoted to regularly updated agricultural news. Special attention was paid to how the Web’s unique interactive properties are used to enhance the site’s style, content, objectivity, balance and originality. Written content as well as visuals were also judged.

Each entry is judged independently by two judges. The awards program is designed to recognize excellence in Canadian agricultural communication. Award winners are recognized every year at the annual CFWF conference. This year’s event was held recently in Kelowna, B.C.

Again this year, this prestigious award would not have been possible without the significant contributions and expert services that have been made by our industry partners. Our sincere appreciation goes out to everyone who has helped make this a winning site.

The CDC is proud to have been awarded the 2002 Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation Gold Award in the World Wide Web category (the Henry Heald Award). Written content as well as visuals were also judged.

This prestigious award would not have been possible without the significant contributions and expert services that have been made by our industry partners. The advice and ideas of private sector companies, government agencies, research centres and industry associations have contributed to making MILKingredients.ca a relevant and complete information centre on dairy ingredients. We owe this award to them and to the staff at the Canadian Dairy Commission who manage this on-line industry service.

Also, our appreciation goes out to everyone who provided us with feedback via our on-line interactive questionnaire and the April 2002 survey.

We hope to keep adding to the following list of collaborators who contributed original essays and content to the site:
